Show season & Highway 63 are officially back!
Little recap of H63's season opening meet.
4/9/2026
And we're back........
The Highway 63 season opener at Waters Edge on Sunday 5th April could only be described as quintessentially British… and we mean that in the most chaotic, weather confused way possible.
One minute it was sunglasses on and bonnets up in glorious sunshine, the next it was jackets zipped, hoods up, and someone chasing a runaway coffee cup across the car park. We had rain, wind, a surprise cameo from hailstones, and then, just to keep us all guessing, the sun came back out like nothing had happened. Standard Easter Bank Holiday behaviour.
Despite the meteorological madness, the turnout did not disappoint. It was brilliant to see so many familiar faces, some of them slightly more “seasoned” than last year 👀as well as a strong showing of new faces joining the Highway 63 crowd for the first time. Always good to see the family growing (and the average horsepower creeping up with it).
The cars? Exactly what you’d expect from an H63 meet, an great mix of American muscle, customs, classics, hot rods, and a few curveballs thrown in for good measure. Plenty of bonnet peeking, tyre kicking and the usual “what engine’s in that then?” conversations happening every five minutes.
All in all, a cracking start to the season. Weather may have tried to steal the show, but the cars and the people did what they always do made it a proper Highway 63 meet.
We’ll do it all again (hopefully with slightly less hail…) on Sunday 3rd May for the next monthly meet. Looking forward to seeing you all there 👍
